Boarding at Camp AMH
AMH boards dogs and cats for extended periods of time. Animal Medical Hospital's Pet Counselors are here to make sure that each pet is treated and loved as if they were their own. All of the pets that stay at Camp AMH are walked, fed, watered, and cared for by our Pet Counselors, and they are each there every day for the well being of the pet.
Animal Medical Hospital has one of the largest boarding facilities in a hospital setting in the city of Charlotte. We can board up to 160 dogs and 20 cats at one time. It is not impossible for us to be booked for summer and holidays months in advance, and have to ask clients to put their names down on a waiting list. We try out best to get each pet in to board with us, but sometimes due to a high number of requests, this is impossible.
Charlotte has other boarding facilities, so why should clients bring their pets to stay at Camp AMH? One of the main reasons is that if anything should ever happen to their pet while boarding, we have trained professionals on the job to handle the problem. Each Pet Counselor goes through training to understand: heat stroke, diarrhea, vomiting, internal parasites, and any health issues. We also handle many special needs for many of our patients.
