What\u2019s more, ethylene glycol can be absorbed by the skin, so it\u2019s critical to mind where they walk when outdoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Symptoms of Antifreeze Poisoning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rapidly absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, ethylene glycol is metabolized by the kidneys. Depending on the amount consumed, a pet\u2019s size and overall health, and other factors, symptoms may arise 30 minutes after exposure.
