Give us a call or bring your pet in to see us if they are experiencing any of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hit by a car, fall, or other trauma<\/li>\n<li>Severe bleeding, or bleeding that does not stop within 5 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Bleeding from the mouth, nose, or anus<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to or potential ingestion of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animalmedical.net\/blog\/2012\/04\/lily-toxicity-in-cats-by-dr-virginia-kiefer\/\">toxic substance<\/a><\/li>\n<li>A bloated, swollen, or painful abdomen (call or come in immediately)<\/li>\n<li>Straining or inability to urinate (call or come in immediately)<\/li>\n<li>Vomiting or diarrhea multiple times in a 24-hour period<\/li>\n<li>Difficulty breathing, uncontrolled coughing, choking<\/li>\n<li>Obvious signs of pain (limping, vocalizing, inability to stand)<\/li>\n<li>Any injury to or problem with the eyes<\/li>\n<li>Collapse or fainting<\/li>\n<li>Seizure<\/li>\n<li>Birthing difficulties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>24\/7 Service<\/h3>\n<p>Animal Medical Hospital knows that pet emergencies can happen any time of the day or night, which is why we offer emergency services on a walk-in basis, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Having a plan in place can save precious time and relieve you of the burden of having to figure out where to take your pet at 2AM on a weekend, or any other time, and may mean the difference between life and death for an ill or injured pet.<\/p>\n<h3>Pet Emergency Services<\/h3>\n<p>Our highly skilled and compassionate veterinarians, nurses, and assistants are proud to provide your pet with the absolute best in emergency care, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Digital radiographs<\/li>\n<li>Ultrasound<\/li>\n<li>In-house blood work and other diagnostic services<\/li>\n<li>Oxygen<\/li>\n<li>Emergency surgery<\/li>\n<li>ICU and critical care monitoring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Transporting Your Pet<\/h3>\n<p>Severely injured pets may behave in an unpredictable manner, so it\u2019s important to exercise the utmost caution when approaching and transporting, in order to protect yourself from injury. If your pet is behaving aggressively, seek help immediately.<\/p>\n<p>If you feel safe, approach your pet slowly and calmly, and move them carefully to a makeshift stretcher for transport to our hospital.
