Dr. Lauren Goode is a native of North Carolina but grew up in Florida. She attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL where she completed her undergraduate degree. She then moved to Gainesville, FL where she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Dr. Goode completed a year-long rotating internship after veterinary school and went on to practice emergency medicine, which is her true passion. Dr. Goode serves as the Emergency and Advanced Care Medical Director at Animal Medical Hospital.
Dr. Goode’s special interests within the veterinary field include emergency and critical care as well as difficult wound management. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS).
Dr. Goode loves the city of Charlotte and has been living here since graduating veterinary school. She lives here with her two cats, Kaufman and Paulie, and two dogs; Bogey, a Grenadian Pot Hound, and Cassie, a Pit Bull. In her free time Dr. Goode enjoys spending time with her pets, practicing yoga, cultivating her house plants and exploring the culinary and cultural aspects of Charlotte.
