Dr. Wright is originally from Silver Spring, Maryland and has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. She studied Biology and Spanish at Elon University. During college, Dr. Wright worked with an animal behaviorist and published research on Mockingbird mating mimicry.
Dr. Wright graduated from St. George’s University in Grenada with honors and also received the Veterinary Public Health and Zoetis Revolution Award of Service. On the island, she organized vaccination clinics for the community and researched a rare species of snake. She completed her clinical year at North Carolina State University.
She strives to provide the best patient care to cats, dogs, and exotics while practicing fear-free medicine to make visits to the vet the most positive experience.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, skiing, and biking.
"I have bragged to everyone who has a pet about AMH. Everyone from all of the desk ladies to the ICU techs, to the vets...they all pay special attention to him and treat him like he is their favorite. I thank God for AMH and all of their employees."
